Holes by Louis Sachar is a sad but gripping book. it starts when a boy called Stanly gets sent to court for stealing a pair of shoes. He goes to a camp where you have to dig a five metres deep and five metres wide. The warden says that it makes the boys come better people but it is a lie. Stanly has to find out the truth. But then Zero his friend runs a ways Stanly has to find him. But there is no water in a hundred miles. Will they survive?

private peaceful

I always enjoy Michael Morpurgo's books. That's why I recommend private peaceful. The story is about a boy who's father died. He makes friends with a girl called Molly. His older brother Charlie also come friends with her. She has dinner with them every night. The news breaks out that Charlie's a thief so Molly can't see the anymore. Then Tommo delivers letters from Molly and Charlie. Then her parents throw her out (if you read the book you'll know why). Soon the people are asking for men to fight in the war. Charlie and Tommo go. There many bad and good things happen. Read the book to find out what happens in the middle of those events and all about what happens during the war. Enjoy reading!

I, Coriander by Sally Gardner is one of the best books I've ever read. The life of Coriander is normal in till a pair of silver shoes appear on her doorstep. The her mother dies. Soon her Father remarries and gets arrested. He marries a widow from the country. Hips wife beats Coriander and her own daughter up. The a preacher comes and lives with them. He then locks Coriander in a chest. Here her story ventures on. While she tries find her mothers shadow and many other things.

Feather Boy by Nicky Singer is a sad but gripping story. It's about a boy called Robert Nobel who is the class victim the boy who's never picked for the team. When a story teller Catherine comes to his class. She invites eight children to do a project at the Mayfield rest home. Where he meets Edith Sorrel. She sends him on a quest to solve the mystery of chance house.

Percy Jackson

Last year I read a book called Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief and the rest of the series called Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Its awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On Thursday and Friday I saw the film at the cinema Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Lighting Thief! The movie excellent even though its completely different from the book. I recommend to read the book and watch the film! It's about a boy called Percy Jackson and his father is Greek god Poseidon god of the seas. Then Zeus's lightning bolt is stolen and he accuses Percy. So Percy sets of on an adventure. Christmas seems to be over but it's still there in the air we just don't feel it. I say that because you can read The Christmas Mystery by Jostein Gaarder anytime in the year you like. You could even read a new chapter every day of advent. You might be wondering what the book is about by now. Well it's about a boy called Joachim who finds a homemade advent calendar in a shop one day. The first day he opens it out of the window comes out a piece of paper with the beginning of a story about a girl who travels to Bethlehem. Then he meets the man who made it and discovered a that forty years ago on Christmas Eve a girl went missing.

The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips

I'm in love with The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips. It's excellent! My friend at school recommended it to me. I'm really glad she did! The story is about a girl called Lily. The war is happening and the soldiers have to practice in her village. So they move to her Uncle George's house. Just before that Lily's cat Tips goes missing. One day Lily decides to go find Tips she has to go under the barbed wire where she isn't supposed to go. Read on to find out the rest!

Series of Ancient Darkness

I read the first four books of Series of Ancient Darkness by Michelle Paver about a year ago. I remember it briefly. Here is a brief summery about it. A boy called Torak about thirteen years old meets a wolf and can talk wolf. Then he meets Renn from the Raven Clan. They live in the forest. Torak doesn't live in a clan. He thinks he might belong to the Wolf Clan. That's all I really remember of the book. Read on to find out the rest. And the adventures they have.
